We worked on the Titanic Exhibition in Sydney and Brisbane, delivering a large-scale exhibition build with the Sydney exhibition in a heritage dockside venue. The project required careful planning and execution to respect the constraints of the historic building while creating an immersive, museum-quality experience.
One of the key challenges was logistics. All exhibition elements had to be transported into the dock via a single lift and a small access door, with bump-in restricted to night-time truck movements. In addition, the venue did not allow for any overhead rigging, meaning all structural and lighting solutions had to be fully self-supported.
To overcome these constraints, we engineered and built a complete freestanding structural system to support rigging, lighting, and exhibition elements without impacting the heritage fabric of the building. Detailed scheduling and precision logistics ensured all components were delivered, lifted, and installed safely and efficiently within tight access and time limitations.
The result? A seamless and immersive Titanic exhibition that transformed a challenging heritage space into a compelling visitor experience, demonstrating how careful planning, structural ingenuity, and sensitive design can bring a world-class exhibition to life within even the most complex environments.
