The Details
6x6m stand
We worked with Thales Alenia Space to deliver a custom 6 × 6 m exhibition stand designed to immerse visitors in an “out of space” experience, while showcasing the brand’s advanced aerospace innovation. The brief called for strong architectural presence, integrated lighting, and high visual impact within a compact footprint.
A key challenge was the absence of conventional overhead rigging and the inability to use a heavy fascia. With strict structural limitations and limited floor space, the stand needed to feel open, immersive, and technically sophisticated. Without relying on ceiling-supported solutions.
Rather than treating this as a limitation, we engineered a fully self-supporting structure. Tall structural wall panels were designed and fabricated to independently support the fascia, safely carrying the required load while maintaining a clean, refined aesthetic. These panels also doubled as vertical display elements, integrating branding, content, and lighting into a single architectural feature. This allowed us to achieve height, presence, and impact without compromising accessibility or footprint.
To bring the concept to life, we focused on materiality and lighting. Custom fibreglass elements referenced planetary surfaces, while backlit fabric planets added depth and scale. Bespoke LED lighting enhanced contrast and created a futuristic atmosphere, transforming the compact stand into an immersive environment that felt expansive and otherworldly.
The result? A confident, future-focused exhibition stand that turned technical constraints into defining design features—delivering strong brand storytelling, architectural impact, and an engaging visitor experience aligned perfectly with Thales Alenia Space’s vision.
